goin' on a roadtrip

I'm signing off for the next week. I'm heading off on a short (3 hour) roadtrip with my boys to visit my sister. My dh is staying home eyeball deep in detective paperwork after a major break in a case he's been working on (he really is a Romans 13:4 minister and I thank God for him)! Even though I'll have access to the computer I've decided to go ahead and take the whole upcoming week off, except for Monday's Timothy Moms Deuteronomy 6:6-7 challenge (come join :).

I pray you all are growing in the grace and intimate knowledge of our Lord and Savior!
I'll leave you with these verses which bring me comfort. Just gentleness of Christ's yoke I see in these verses. The quiet, simple life of serving and worshipping Him is what I see is His heart for me here:
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. -1 Timothy 2:1-4 (NKJV)
That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. - Titus 2:4-5 (KJV)
It may not be what my flesh wants to hear, but my flesh must be dying more because I'm no longer finding fear and resistance in myself to these verses, but joy and peace. I truly WANT to obey the Lord in these things and live a simple life of worship and service.
Be strong and courageous!
Sheila
